Alright Stop, Camo Time...

I couldn't resist.  M.C. Hammer's going to come back in my generation as retro right? Mommy can only hope.  While we were at Granny & Pop's, we headed to the ranch for some fun.  We love the ranch.  What's not to love?  Camo, dirt, ATV's, it's a little boy's dream.

This was Maddox's first trip to the ranch.  Doesn't he look excited?

It was COLD!

Huddled on the swing with Granny and Pop.

Mommy wanted a picture with us too

"Hmm...what can I get in to?"

Time to fill up some deer feeders

and get a fire going.

Playing around while Pop and Daddy fill deer feeders.

We thought it would be fun to ride on the trailer to the next feeder.  (we're crazy)

Maddox was the smart one.  All warm and toasty inside taking a nap.

Once the work was done, it was time to play.  Bring on the 4 wheeler.

We fed this dog more food than she probably eats in a normal week.

We made smores. mmm....

Maxer saying "faster faster" as they blew by the house.

Mason saying "My turn!"

Even I rode the 4 wheeler.  If you know me, that's a big deal.

This picture is so funny.  Of course, Mason was the first one to find the dirt pile.

It didn't take us long to join in.

"You know what this dirt needs?  trucks!"

Perfect

Check out this awesome owl we saw on the way in.  The ranch is so cool.

South Texas

If you've been reading my blog, you know that we spent this last week in Mommy's hometown, Victoria.  It is always really nice to go down there and hang out with the family.  Aside from several Christmases, here are some of the fun things we did:

We had great "cousin time"

We drove through Christmas in the Park in a nearby town.  We saw lots of lights AND deer!

We also went to Chuck E. Cheese (where a kid can be a kid).

That's always lots of fun.

it was amazingly uncrowded.

We had a great time playing.

And we got to see the mouse himself!

Fun fun!

We also spent lots of time outside.  It didn't get cold until our last couple of days there.  So we had a blast enjoying the warm weather.

Piled up on the slide.

We love Star Wars

We also had fun times at the ranch.

More on that in a bit.

And we rooted for our Sic 'Em Bears!

They won the Holiday Bowl.  Way to go Bears!

Big boy!

It was hard to leave Victoria, but we are returning with full hearts ready to start the new year.

Christmas 2012

After 5 Christmases and much travel, the time was here...Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, we left out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Too excited to go to sleep.

Since Granny and Pop don't have a fireplace, we have to put out Santa's magic key.  It's a key that only works for Santa that lets him in the house.

Maxer hanging the key.

Then it was time for our reading.  We read Twas the Night Before Christmas and the birth story of Jesus that's in the Bible.

Mommy took pictures before she let us in the room Christmas morning. Look, Santa came!  Maddox's stack.

Mason's

Max's (that pile in between our stacks was a stack of the "to both of us" gifts).

My stack.

Time to head into the living room.

Mason's first power wheel.

Mason eating the leftover cookies.

Lego watches.

In typical Mason fashion, he was more interested in the food than the gifts.

Maxer got a DS.  He was pumped.

Mason and his piano

Star Wars shoes!

They have light sabers that light up when you walk.

I think this expression says it all...

Pop helping Mason open gifts.

New toothbrushes and Ninja turtle underwear.  Sweet.

Angry birds bike helmets

The Yo Gabba gifts continue

My new bike!

Cuddle time with Pop.

Maddox says he's ready to ride.

Testing out the power ranger helmets

Even Daddy tried it out.

Batman's jail!

Maddox' treasure toy.

Time to take the bikes out for a spin.

Good times

Mason preferred to be driven.

While we were outside, Maddox stayed inside and played with our toys. ;)

and a few of his toys

I think he enjoyed his first Christmas.

Mason got a Yo Gabba hat..

That pretty much everyone else tried on...

even Madd man.

Cutie.

Holding his Yoda and reading a book.

Playing my new 3DS.

And of course, you can't celebrate Jesus' birthday without a cake!  So we had a Janie's cake.  Mommy said it was the perfect cake for the perfect guy.  It didn't last a day.

Merry Christmas! ~Miles
